Our organization takes pride in promoting the community as an attractive travel destination while enhancing its public image as a dynamic place to live and work. Through the impact of travel, Explore Seattle Southside provides opportunities and strengthens the economic position of people in our community.
How We Do It
As your region's Destination Marketing Organization (DMO), Explore Seattle Southside collaborates with neighbors and partners to bring your business to the forefront. We work across markets and across the globe, contributing to the region's economic prosperity. A partnership-based organization, we are funded through lodging taxes and a tourism promotion assessment. This funding enables us to work with our restaurants, hotels, and attractions from Des Moines, SeaTac, and Tukwila with ZERO CHARGE TO OUR PARTNERS (i.e.: no membership fee).

We work day-in and day-out to bring Seattle Southside to the forefront of all travel markets. To achieve this, we are guided by a set of thoughtful goals and strategies. To achieve our goals, we develop strategies to own the region, build destination experiences, increase visitor stay length and visitor spending.
