A wintertime tradition to delight all ages!

Model Train Festival brings out the kid in all of us! You’ll love the carefully detailed miniatures in the model train layouts, as well as the model train engines, rail cars, tracks, trestles, and other railroad features.

Located on Pacific Avenue in Tacoma, the Washington State History Museum’s brick façade and vaulted arches create a distinctive landmark in keeping with neighboring Union Station (now a federal courthouse) and the repurposed brick warehouses that comprise the University of Washington Tacoma campus.

You’ll enjoy visiting the thriving Museum District and Pacific Avenue with plenty of places to snack, dine and shop.

Open Mondays during The 28th Annual Model Train Festival. Closed Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25.
