Join us for Hispanic Heritage Night featuring art by Victor Melendez!
Victor Melendez is a Seattle-based artist originally from Mexico City. He is currently working as an art director, graphic designer and illustrator. Victor’s design draws inspiration from Quetzalcoatl (“Feathered Serpent” in Nahuatl), the God of Life, Light and Wisdom, also related to arts, crafts, knowledge, and learning. The pattern and colors in the art are inspired by ancient patterns found in architecture, textiles and art from all over Latin America.
Víctor es un artista originario de la Ciudad de México que reside en Seattle. Actualmente trabaja como Director de Arte, Diseñador Gráfico e ilustrador. El diseño de Víctor se inspira en Quetzalcóatl (“Serpiente Emplumada” en náhuatl), el dios de la vida, la luz y la sabiduría, también relacionado con las artes, la artesanía, el conocimiento y el aprendizaje. El sello y los colores de la obra están inspirados en patrones antiguos que se encuentran en la arquitectura, los textiles y el arte de toda América Latina.
