Conserving Resources By Recycling and Reselling Electronics
RE-PC Recycled Computers & Peripherals in Tukwila has been repairing and selling recycled electronics since the early 1990s. Founded by two entrepreneurs who met at a swap meet during the early computing boom, the company has partnered with King County and numerous local groups to further their mission of recovering resources while providing people with good quality computers and other devices at affordable prices.
NEED TO KNOW:
Buy & Sell Electronics: You can shop for a variety of computers and other electronics. And also bring in old electronics to sell (check the website for details). The store also sells new chargers.
Repair Services: You can take your Mac or PC desktop or laptop in to have it examined or repaired. They offer an inexpensive diagnostic fee which allows you to make an informed and economical decision about whether or not to have a device repaired. They also offer laptop jack repair service.
THE VIBE:
RE-PC is a small, independent business that cares about its customers and its mission.
GOOD TO KNOW:
Recycling: The company re-uses as much e-waste as possible. Computers, peripherals and related products are refurbished and sold through retail outlets and online. At end-of-life, computers and peripherals are disassembled when possible, and the circuit boards are recycled through a reprocessor. Cases and other hardware are recycled as scrap metal and the monitors are recycled through a firm that prepares them for glass to glass recycling (keeping the approximately six pounds of lead out of the environment).
