Northwest Symphony Orchestra

The Northwest Symphony Orchestra (NWSO) offers an exquisite blend of classical and contemporary performances. Performing at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien, this nationally-acclaimed orchestra is a cornerstone of the Seattle Southside arts scene. Since its founding in 1987, it has won eight national awards for “Programming of Contemporary Music” from the American Society of Composers Authors and Publishers (ASCAP), among other accolades.

Every year, the community waits excitedly for the new season to be announced, which includes an eclectic lineup of performances from fall through spring. Dates are announced well in advance, so be sure to check the website so you can plan around one of their special events and book your tickets online. (Tickets to the Valentine's Day performance would make a sweet excuse for a trip or staycation!)
