Founded in 2000 in Japan, Marugame Udon opened its first location in Washington state in September 2024 in Westfield Southcenter's new Northside Restaurant Row. Fresh House-Made Noodles: Marugame Udon specializes in Sanuki udon, a type of Japanese noodle that originated in Kagawa Prefecture and is characterized by thick, chewy noodles with flat edges. At Marugame Udon, the noodles are made from flour imported from Japan. Then, they rest for 18 hours before being cooked for more than 15 minutes to ensure they have the right texture and flavor.

Popular Menu Items: While there are many kinds of udon to choose from, people love the Curry Nikutama, with sweet beef and a soft boiled egg, and the Tonkotsu, with chashu pork, miso ground pork, and a seasoned hard boiled egg. Those seeking a vegan meal will enjoy the Miso Udon, which you can get with spicy soy meat.
