Celebrate Independence Day with a Bang at SeaTac’s Family Fourth of July Celebration
Join this fun event on July 4th, 2024, at the scenic Angle Lake Park for a day packed with fun, entertainment, and spectacular shows in the sky! Doors open bright and early at 7:00 AM and won’t close until the last drone has danced across the night sky.
Spectacular Shows in the Sky
As the sun sets, prepare for a sky spectacle starting at 9:45 PM with a breathtaking drone show. Watch in wonder as 200 drones take to the sky, illuminating the night with an orchestrated ballet of lights and colors. But the excitement doesn’t stop there—stick around for the main event! At 10:10 PM, the Angle Lake Shore Club will dazzle with a sparkling fireworks display from the east end of the lake. It’s a double feature in the sky that promises to light up your night!
Fun for the Little Ones
The Children’s Area opens at noon and is a paradise for the young and young at heart. Dive into fun with free inflatables—a slide, bouncy house, and obstacle course await all day long!
Non-Stop Entertainment
Get ready to groove with non-stop live entertainment kicking off at noon. From the soulful sounds of Kareem Kandi to the rhythmic beats of DJ music playing from 6:30 to 8:30 PM, there's something to keep everyone's feet tapping. Don’t miss our line-up of local talents and a special performance of the National Anthem by Izzy Parker.
Getting There
Please note that parking at Angle Lake Park is off-limits for the day, but free parking is available nearby at Alaska Airlines Headquarters and the IBEW Union Office. We encourage using public transportation—King County Metro stops right at the park entrance, and the Angle Lake Station of the SoundTransit Link Light Rail is just a short walk away.
Pack Your Picnic
Feel free to bring your own food and beverages! Coolers are welcome in the park, though please remember that alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited, along with smoking, fireworks, and unauthorized weapons.
For Swimmers and Boaters
The swimming area will be open with lifeguards on duty until 8:00 PM, and the water spray park offers a refreshing splash for everyone. However, the public boat launch will be closed for the day.

The annual Burien Independence Day Parade takes place this year from 3-5PM in downtown Burien. This community parade is a fun, family friendly event that is open to all participants, both as spectators and as marchers! If you want to march in the parade, be sure to reserve your spot in advance, since only 100 groups will be allowed to march in keeping with the centennial theme.

Join the Red, White, and Blue Festivities at Normandy Park This Fourth of July!
Get ready to don your patriotic best and wave your flags high at the Normandy Park Fun Run and Parade! This Independence Day, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Normandy Park residents, their families, and friends are invited to a community celebration that promises fun, food, and a fantastic time on the Cove lawn.
Morning Fun Run
Kick off the day with a 2.8K Fun Run beginning at 10:25 AM. Whether you're in it to win it or just want to enjoy a leisurely jog, the Fun Run is perfect for everyone. It's completely free, and you can register on the day at the starting area near Marvista Elementary. Make sure to arrive by 9:30 AM to get your registration sorted and pick up your number!
Children's Parade
At 10:30 AM, the vibrant Children's Parade will roll out from the Marvista parking lot. Decorate your cars, bikes, or wagons, or march along to the rhythm of the bands. Everyone is welcome to join—just be festive and fun! Please note, refrain from campaigning or displaying political signs. Join early at Marvista no later than 10:15 AM or catch up anywhere along the route ending at the Cove building.
Picnic and Live Music
After the parade, around 11:15 AM, meet on the Cove lawn for an array of free treats including hot dogs, beverages, popcorn, and ice cream. Enjoy live music, face painting, and check out classic cars while the kids tackle the inflatable obstacle course or try their luck at the dunk tank. Don't miss the chance to dunk local celebrities like Mt Rainier Principal Kyle Linman and Chief Dan Yourkoski!
