Burien’s hub location offers great connections and makes it easily accessible from just about anywhere in the region. You can drive north to Seattle in about 12 minutes, east to Sea-Tac Airport in five minutes, and south to Tacoma or east to Bellevue in 30 minutes. Burien has a diverse community of individuals where more than 50 different languages are spoken. Downtown Burien is considered to be the third most walkable city in Washington state and boast many community events, including a weekly farmers market, throughout the year. Burien’s downtown is noted for its boutique retail, many restaurants and museum. Visitors can enjoy shopping, cultural activities and food from all around the world.

The Burien Fish House
Originally, the owners Van and Manda started serving their delicious menu from their food truck before the opened The Burien Fish House restaurant. Now, they are serving their tasty menu in a small, casual restaurant with an old school sailormen’s décor and very friendly atmosphere that offers a counter-serve kitchen featuring fish & chips, fish tacos, sandwiches, chowder.
Recommendations: Seafood Chowder, shrimp of lobster Mac & Cheese, halibut, prawns, habanero & jalapeno tartar sauce.
Marlaina’s Mediterranean Kitchen
Marlaina’s is a comfortable and colorful eatery with an open kitchen. The warm ambience, colorful tapestries and ample spacing between tables adds to a more traditional Mesopotamian environment and takes you to a different place for an amazing experience to stay and enjoy.
Recommendations: Halva, Mediterranean Salad, Meso Kebab, Mesopotamian stews
Osteria Da Primo
Growing up in a small hill town in Italy, chef and owner Carlo Guida spent most of his days with his grandmother watching her cook until one day he would be able to recreate the food he loved so much.
After some time, Carlo and his wife Lindsay opened Osteria Da Primo in Burien's dining destination to serve up fresh pasta, woodfired pizza, seafood, steak, and Italian wine. With its charming atmosphere and traditional Italian cuisine, you are in for a very rewarding and relaxing experience.
