Beautiful Burien
PNW Perfection in B-Town
The city of Burien is made up of a unique blend of boutique shops, urban art, independent restaurants, and natural oases that combine to create one truly vibrant city.
Filled with lots of wonderful things to see and do (not to mention taste!), you'll fall in love with this magnetic town.
Natural Wonder
Seahurst Park will surprise you in more ways than one. At one moment you'll be in the heart of the city, and only seconds later you're driving through a lush, green forest, which opens up to a beautiful view and refreshing scent of Puget Sound. Walking through the trees and along the creek to the beach feels like a true Pacific Northwest experience, and you won't believe you're still so close to the city. Words cannot describe the sensation of serenity that you feel when you walk along the beach and through the trails that run parallel to the water.
Main (Street) Attractions
SW 152nd Street is the main drag of Burien and features tons of amazing shops and restaurants, with unique charm. You'll also see plenty of beautiful art: murals, sculptures, and beautifully painted signs and buildings. The boutique shops and eateries are plenty: The Tin Room Bar, 909 Coffee & Wine, Three Trees Books, Treat Cookies, Smarty Pants Garage, and The Australian Pie Company, just to name a few.
During the summer months, you'll find the street ends in the Burien Farmers’ Market in the town square. The array of fresh produce, colorful flowers, unique cookies (blackberry orange!), and all the various jewelry and knick-knacks for sale will dazzle your eyes. One of the best things about this downtown area is just how walkable it is. Of course, if you want your car, there’s plenty of free parking throughout the city, but it’s easy to see why the city has so many popular events. Whether it's Burien UFO Festival, Burien Pride, the Arts-a-Glow Lantern Festival, or Burien Winterfest, the Burien city center seems a perfect fit for any quirky party or event.

Local Color
One of the highlights in Burien is the Highline Heritage Museum, which chronicles local history with an emphasis on preserving stories that might otherwise be lost. From a sloth fossil the size of a Volkswagon to D.B. Cooper's daring heist, to the far more everyday but no less fascinating tales of day-to-day life for the first peoples of these lands and early settlers, you'll learn a ton about what life has been like here in Seattle Southside from prehistory to today.
