New AC Hotel by Marriott Seattle Airport Coming 2025

If you stop by what was, until very recently, the Crowne Plaza® Seattle Airport, you'll notice some exciting changes underway. The 260-room hotel, which has long been a go-to for conferences and travelers to the Seattle area, is currently being transformed into the AC Hotels by Marriott®, an acclaimed, global hotel brand known for its sleek, simplistic design and world-class dining options. Washington-based Hollander Hospitality signed a deal with Marriott International to convert the hotel into the AC Hotel by Marriott Seattle Airport, which will entail a top-to-bottom renovation that will be completed in the latter half of 2025. In the meantime, it remains open during renovation, temporarily operating under the name Skybridge Seattle Airport Hotel.

What Will Be Different?

While the owners and staff remain the same, the new hotel will be completely revamped. When guests step inside the main room, they’ll see a new, expansive lobby that’s designed to evoke the feeling of a well-curated art gallery. From there, they’ll be able to choose from numerous flexible spaces, including a stately library and tech-ready media salon.

"It’s going to be more modern," said Valerie Woods, the hotel's Director of Sales & Catering. "Some words we use to describe the new design are 'discerning' and 'harmonious.' There's nothing extra, but everything that you need."

Event and meeting planners will love the 9,000+ square feet of event space, featuring eight signature spaces designed to prioritize focus and functional beauty.

“Our twelfth floor is dedicated just to event space," said Woods. "As part of that renovation, we’re going to have two really nice executive boardrooms with lots of daylight, so meetings feel very spacious."

A larger space next door will offer attendees a stunning view of Mt. Rainier. Nearby will be a fitness center.

Back in their rooms, guests will enjoy the AC Hotels' newest designs, which include an open closet system and hardwood floors. And when it comes to unwind and mingle, they can enjoy a drink or meal in a setting that’s reminiscent of a cosmopolitan cafe. In the lounge, they'll be able to sip on artisanal cocktails or local craft beer while enjoying tapas-style small bites. In the AC Kitchen, they’ll choose from imported French croissants, hand-crafted coffee, and European-style breakfast, complete with hand-shaved prosciutto.

When Will the AC Hotel by Marriott Seattle Airport Open?

The hotel is currently open for business as the Skybridge Seattle Airport Hotel and guests who book stays are now eligible to sign up for a membership with the Marriott Bonvoy program. It will officially be rebranded as the AC Hotel by Marriott Seattle Airport in the latter half of 2025, though there is not a fixed date at this time.
