Father's Day in Seattle Southside
Father's Day is nearly upon us! It's time to plan out what to do for the dads in your life to show him just how much you care.
After all, dads do an amazing job of showing support, giving advice, and being there when we need them. So what can we do for Father's Day in Seattle Southside to help show how much we care?
Things to Do
Museum of Flight
The Museum of Flight is always a great time, but on Father's Day your wallet will have a great time too! That's because they are offering free admission to fathers who come accompanied by their children (of any age!) to enjoy the largest independent non-profit air and space museum in the world. Learn more about their Father's Day event here. No matter how old those kids are, there's lots to see and do at this huge facility. History buff dads will love seeing historical aircraft from every era. Travel enthusiast dads will point out some of their favorite passenger planes and wax nostalgic about the golden days of air travel. And if your dad is an out-of-this-world space enthusiast, the space travel exhibits are sure to excite his inner kid.
Local History at Highline Heritage Museum
If dad is a history buff, you definitely should take him to the Highline Heritage Museum, which is focused on local history and art. Together, you'll learn some of the fascinating hidden history of our area, from fossils found under runways at SeaTac to D.B. Cooper's famous skyway robbery, there's tons to explore and discover.
Golf at Foster Golf Links
Reserve your tee time at Foster Golf Links! This historic, beautiful course along the Duwamish River makes for a perfect Father's Day. After you're done with a round of golf, kick back with good eats and cold brews at Billy Baroo's, located right on the Links.
Take in a Race at Emerald Downs
Hear the pounding of hooves and test your luck at the races! Emerald Downs is the premier thoroughbred horse racing venue in the Pacific Northwest. Lots of delicious dining options are available in the park as well. If you want to have a "home base" at the track, you can reserve a seat in the grandstand or even rent a box or suite. On Father’s Day, they'll be running the championship of the exciting Indian Relay event, as well as the first two thoroughbred stakes of the season! Tickets start at $10.
Mariners Game
Hit a home run with a day at T-Mobile Park. Home of the Seattle Mariners, the field is a 19.59-acre outdoor baseball park with a retractable roof for rainy days. On Father’s Day weekend, the Mariners will be playing the Chicago White Sox, and for Sunday's game they're offering a free talking bottle opener to the first 10,000 dads over the age of 21. You can also schedule a T-Mobile Park Tour and wander through areas of the ballpark that are not normally open to the public including the Press Box, Private Suites, Field, Dugouts and Visitors Clubhouse. Ticket prices start at $25 for Father's Day, though there are occasional value game dates with tickets as low as $10 if you're flexible about when you want to celebrate.

With 70 lanes of bowling across three venues, we have tons of options for both family-friendly fun and more grown-up gatherings!
