Seattle Chocolate's annual Haunted Factory Tour Experience at the company's factory in Tukwila is a thrilling combination between live theater and escape room. Each year is unique, and this year, the factory has been taken over by Dark Disciples. To stop them, you must infiltrate their ranks, solve clues and stop their dark ritual. Only those who succeed will be rewarded!

This family-owned farm is the perfect place to get in the fall spirit. A local favorite for more than 50 years, it has 20+ acres of farmland to explore.
Pumpkin patch: Use wheelbarrows provided by the farm to pick up everything from a pumpkin to carve to mini decorative gourds to one-of-a-kind squash.
Corn maze: Each year, the farm grows a new, unique maze to keep people guessing what's around the corner.
Farm Fun Yard: In addition to meeting plenty of cute animals, including piglets, rabbits, sheep, cows, goats, chickens and more, kids can swim in the "Corn Pit" (a sea of golden yellow corn kernels), slide into a hay pen and navigate a kid-sized hay maze. Don't forget to look up at the "Goat Walk" where goats saunter high above the Farm Fun Yard.

Burien Brat Trot & Oktoberfest

What could be better than a fun run in crisp fall weather? A fun run that's Bavarian-themed and ends with a micro brew festival!
Burien Brat Trot is a 5k Run/Walk and Kid’s 1k Fun Run through the streets of charming Old Burien, starting and finishing next to Burien Town Square Park.
Burien Oktoberfest in Town Square Park features a brew festival with local beers, kids’ activities, games such as “Stein Carry”, “Weiner Toss”, “Keg Toss” and live entertainment. There's even a "Root Beer Garden" for all ages.
The event raises funds for Highline Schools Foundation and its work throughout Highline Public Schools.
Bavarian costumes are welcomed!

Fall Foliage Festival

Discover an immersive wonderland of fall colors at the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden’s annual Fall Foliage Festival.
This free event showcases a large collection of Japanese maples, deciduous azaleas and other deciduous species.
Enjoy a bite from a food truck or a sweet drink from a coffee cart before joining a garden tour or plant talk. You can also shop for plants, garden gifts and books. Come in a costume to participate in the all-ages costume contest and win prizes for having the funniest, scariest or most creative costume.
The garden is located across the courtyard from the Pacific Bonsai Museum, which hosts its own fall festival every year. Both sites offer the perfect space to forest bathe, explore miles of trails, or just sit and enjoy the magic of the fall season.
Dia de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a traditional Mexican holiday that honors and respects our deceased ancestors by setting up an altar with their picture and decorating it with marigold, decorations and offering food. The Burien Community Center hosts a free annual event that is open to the public and features cultural dances, traditional art and family-friendly activities.

See Fall Foliage at the Bonsai Museum

Autumn marks one of the most significant seasonal transitions in bonsai, as the trees pull all their resources down into their roots and deciduous bonsai put on a colorful display. Pacific Bonsai Museum in Federal Way hosts an annual Fall Foliage Day held in conjunction with the Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden’s Fall Foliage Festival.
In addition to enjoying bonsai in their fall splendor, visitors can take a docent-led tour of the collection and shop for bonsai tools, kusamono, books, gifts, and more. This event is free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $12 for adults.
