Dimension XR

  • Age Range: 8+
  • Price Range: $299-$1500 depending on party size and options

Get lost in a virtual world at Dimension XR, where you and your friends can play virtual laser tag! Prices start at $299 for one hour of shared play for up to 8 people and range up to $1500 for a two hour private party for up to 35 people! With a wide range of price points available, this makes VR more accessible to all. Catering options are available, but outside food is also allowed in. While the stated age minimum is age 8, that's due to the size of the head gear needed to play in VR - some younger children have been able to successfully use the hardware, but they need to have both a larger head as well as some experience with gaming to not be disoriented. Family Fun Center

  • Price Range: $265-$345 with many add-ons available

There's something for everyone at Family Fun Center, from arcade games to rides, mini-golf to batting cages, and way more! The party packages all include 8 play cards that allow your guests to pick what attractions they like, with additional cards available for purchase. Since Bullwinkle's Family Restaurant is attached, catering is built in (except for the cake), with some options and add-ons available depending on the package you go with. Legacy Gaming

  • Age Range: All Ages
  • Price Range: $500-$650

Got a gamer who wants it all, from the latest VR tech to retro console games? Legacy Gaming Community has it all and appeals to gamers of all ages, from their kid-friendly educational gaming through the coolest tech for teens all the way to some retro console games that only the grown-ups in the room will remember how to play. Even if you have a guest or two who's not much of a gamer, their VR experiences can transport them to another world, or even make them feel like they're riding a roller coaster! Parties are accomodated for 5-10 people and include 2 hours of gaming and one hour for cake, food, and partying. The $500 option does not include food, while the $650 option does. Waterland Arcade

  • Age Range: All Ages
  • Price Range: $200-$848

Ever wanted a whole arcade all to yourself? You can do just that at Waterland Arcade. They have over 50 arcade games for all ages, plus a retro vibe that will have kids of the 80's and 90's feeling right at home. Private rentals are $349 for up to 30 guests, $499 for up to 60 guests for a two hour party. Price includes exclusive use of the entire venue for two hours with unlimited free play on all the arcade machines. For an additional $199 you can add unlimited pinball, and if you want more time, it's $150 for an extra hour. Outside food is permitted and a table can be set up for you. Booking is available through their website, and whole arcade rental is only available during certain hours.

Have a smaller party and don't want to rent the whole arcade? You can book a table for up to twelve guests for only $200, which includes 2 hours of free play on all arcade machines (though not the pinball machines). Whether your birthday person is particularly sporty or athletic, or if you've just got a kid with a ton of energy, these are great options to celebrate someone who's more on the active end on the spectrum.


Sky Zone

  • Age Range: All Ages
  • Price Range: $300-$440 for 10 jumpers

This one's for all the birthday kids (and adults!) with way more energy than they know what to do with. At Sky Zone, your aerial dreams come to life, from a trampoline basketball court where anyone can dunk to a ninja warrior course to aerial silks and trapezes and more! Prices vary based on how long you want to jump, whether you want to include pizza or not (or bring your own), and additional jumpers can be added for an additional fee. iFLY Indoor Skydiving

  • Age Range: 3+
  • Price Range: ~$80-$115 per flier, depending on package

Thrill Seekers Only! This one's only for those who like an adrenaline rush - iFLY is all the thrills of skydiving without any jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. Parties can accomodate 6-13 fliers (that is, people who are planning on doing the indoor skydiving), and any minors who fly do require a signed waiver from their parents, so keep that in mind if you're hosting a kid's or teen's party. Prices vary based on whether you're doing a set package for up to 12 or have a smaller number of fliers, as well as whether or not you want to include food and private party space. Safari

  • Age Range: Under 9 (approximately)
  • Price Range: $199-$299 depending on day of the week

For young kids, there's nothing like unstructured fun play, and Safari at Westfield Southcenter Mall is a perfect space for exactly that. With play structures, tubes, slides, and a ball pit, kids' imaginations soar. Price includes one hour of free play either before or after the party as well as use of the private party room for 1 hour and 45 minutes (plus 15 minutes setup time) for 12 kids and 20 adults (with the option to add extra kids or adults, plus babies under 12 months are free). Starfire Sports

  • Age Range: All Ages
  • Price Range: $225 for one hour of field time, 2 hours of room time.

Got a soccer lover? Starfire Sports is the way to go for their birthday - it's the facility that over the years has been home to the Sounders, Reign, and Defiance, as well as many lower level teams and tournaments. Any field sport lover is sure to like this setup - an hour of field time that starts up at the same time of two hours of private room use time (so that the parents or hosts can set up the party while everyone else is out on the field). Since Starfire is unable to provide any staff or equipment, the field use time is up to you, whether you're playing soccer, lacrosse, rugby, or another field sport. Will you run drills and training? Yes, we already talked about how fun Family Fun Center can be. But it gets even more fun with bowling! Their bowling birthday packages are separate from their other packages, so we've separated them here as well. With this package you get two hours of private bowling, shoe rentals, and four large one topping pizzas, plus unlimited soda for the first hour. Round1

  • Age Range: All Ages
  • Price Range: $24.99-$38.99 per guest

Whether you want to bowl or enjoy their massive arcade and karaoke rooms, Round1 has a party package for you! The options on Round1's website are robust: The Round1 GO Package (6 guest minimum) which is all about bowling, Gamer Gold (6 guest minimum) which is all about the arcade, or All Inclusive (20 guest minimum) which as the name implies covers the arcade and bowling but also provides a private karaoke room! Prices vary based on the package you select and the age of the guests (as the adult All-Inclusive package also includes drink tickets).

What are birthdays if not a chance to look back fondly at how far you've come? Museums make a perfect place to do that sort of reflection as you look at the course of your life in parallel with the progress of history. Plus, museums are just cool.


The Museum of Flight

  • Age Range: Under 17 for these birthday packages - adult parties are also available but are priced like regular private parties.
  • Price Range: $300-$500

If your kid loves airplanes, this is the place to go for their birthday. Whether their party is in the Annex (available year-round but only accessible via stairs) or in the Aviation Pavilion (available only June through September), these packages include museum admission for up to 40 guests on the day of the party, free on-site parking, and tables, chairs, and linens. Self-contained outside food is allowed (such as pizza, sandwiches, cake, veggie trays, etc.) but no outside deliveries or food that requires an oven or fridge. Highline Heritage Museum

Experience local history in a whole new way at the Highline Heritage Museum with their Glow Party package! For the DIY Party Planner

If you'd rather just plan a party yourself from scratch, there are lots of resources available to help you plan your event. Many restaurants will seat larger parties if given enough advance notice, and some may allow you to bring your own special dessert. Wanting an outdoor party? There are tons of outdoor venues available around Seattle Southside. Near Westfield Southcenter Mall you can find both a Party City as well as multiple craft stores, where you can buy party supplies and decor.
